Seniors is owned by the Horabin family and has evolved over a decade from an end terrace chip shop packed with nostalgia to a bustling family fish emporium. Seniors are home to the fabulous JOHN DORY and the place to come and enjoy a real FISH EXPERIENCE with aspirations to only ever improve. Here's a brief history and future goals

Seniors Blackpool was purchased in 2000 and quickly undertook a massive revamp in all areas; shop layout, menu, staff training and staff mentality. The menu was transformed to showcase what the sea has to offer, selling up to five variaties daily all purchased fresh from Fleetwood Docks all produced by the owner Richard a fish merchant with over 30 years experience in the fishing industry. After six successful years in national competitons in all areas of fish and chips Seniors approached the future with expansion in mind and set out to find a new site to enhance the brand.

By the summer of 2006 Seniors had expanded the menu to house 13 varieties daily including specials ranging from exotic brahma brahma, fresh red snapper and delicate sea bass. The brand added a bit of fizz to the chips by promoting alcohol with fish and chips and increased its charity work immensly including charity runs, fancy dress nights and a 24hr endurance challenge outside Seniors Blackpool.

Building a purpose built fish and chip shop in Lancashire wasn't a first but it was a new concept in terms of its execution, Seniors Thornton was built on a car park and was the brainchild of a chance meeting in a supermarket. The shop embraces the modern classy approach Seniors feel fish and chips deserves to evolve into, offering 100 seater restaurant and take-away spread over 2 storeys jam packed full of local art and great views and surrounded with ample parking for cars and coaches alike its a must see.

Seniors misson statement is ' to provide the fish experience to as many people as possible' this will never change and our passion as a family will ensure that quality and consistency will always the number 1 priority. After a 3rd place in fish and chip shop of the year in 2006 our family was moving in the right directon and believed the in house training was producing phenominal staff with great passion for quality fish and chips and we had the potential to open a new site to showcase there skills.

Seniors ethos is hard work and achieving only the highest standards in all areas, when looking for a new shop the family had key locations in mind but when it finally came off it was a huge honour to open Seniors Lytham on club day in the summer of 2009. Seniors Lytham is a fabulous addition to the Seniors brand it offers something different to a town full of bustling shops and great local restaurants. Situated alongside a beatuful promenade it opens the door to visitors and locals to enjoy the great british tradition of fish and chips by the sea!

Currently Seniors are working to ensure the highest standards of fish and chip experience at all three shops and thank our loyal and educated customers for there support over the past decade this new site will be a sign of new times ahead for the family and the brand and who knows one day shop 4...
